Georgia now finds themselves in the same position they were in this past season. Two losses in SEC play and needing to win out to make the College Football Playoff. They also need to win out if they want a chance to make the SEC Championship game, but that wouldn’t be on anyone's mind right now.
Thankfully Georgia has the ultimate "get right" game against one of the worst teams in the SEC from this past season. Georgia dominated Mississippi State at home this past season, and they will do exactly that once again this season after their disappointing loss to Florida the game prior.
Mississippi State will be thankful this game is at home, because that will help them keep it close for the first quarter, but that will not last much longer than that. This game will be a blowout that everyone throughout the country will stop watching midway through the third quarter.
And that is the exact game that Georgia will need to get their confidence back before their final SEC showdown of the season against a team they are very familiar with from the 2024 season.
