Predicting the final score of Georgia football’s final five games
3. Tennessee
Georgia now enters a fun stretch in their schedule that sees them finish with three straight home games, with Tennessee being the first up.
The Vols are coming off a monster win against Alabama this week and have risen to No. 7 in the AP Poll rankings because of it. Even though Georgia was unable to beat Alabama, this win doesn't feel as good for Tennessee as one might think because of how poorly the Tide have been playing the last three weeks.
Looking at Tennessee's two games before this past week, they had a shocking loss to Arkansas and an overtime victory against Florida. Those are not signs of a strong team.
The Vols still have about a month before this game gets here, so there is a good chance they start playing much better football by the time this game rolls around. But Georgia will be very motivated as well.
This is Georgia's final SEC game and a win will likely clinch their spot in the SEC Championship game. It will also have been over a month since Georgia played in Sanford Stadium, so that means the Georgia fans will be extra rowdy for this SEC showdown.
So even though most might think this game will be a close shootout, Georgia will be ready to do the exact opposite and blow this Vols team out.
Prediction: Georgia wins 38-16
Updated record: 9-1 (7-1)
