Predicting the final score of Georgia football’s final five games

Can Georgia keep riding the momentum they created after knocking off No. 1 Texas, or will they fall short of making the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoffs?

4. UMass

Next up for Georgia is UMass, who is about as bad of a team as you could find in college football. UMass is 1-6 so far this season with their lone win coming by four points against a three win team.

UMass has played an SEC opponent already this season as well when they took on Missouri in their last outing. And even though Missouri is a middle of the pack SEC team this year, they still lost this game 45-3.

Unfortunately, the biggest storyline in this game will be how fast Smart will be able to take his starters out. There is no need to overplay them and risk injury in a game Georgia will likely have won already by the end of the first quarter, so hopefully we will see some of the guys deep down the depth chart get a lot of minutes.

And even if the third and fourth string guys play a lot, Georgia is still likely to score a lot of points while giving up none. But in the spirit of being kind to a non-conference opponent as small as UMass, let's allow them to score just once in this game.

Prediction: Georgia wins 52-3

Updated record: 10-1 (7-1)
