6. Georgia Tech

Final Record: 10-2 (6-2)

Last on the schedule for Georgia is a rivalry game at Sanford Stadium when Georgia Tech comes to town.

At the start of the season this was looking like a game that the entire country was going to watch. This is because Georgia Tech knocked of Florida State in week 0 which looked like a very impressive win for the Yellow Jackets at the time. I think we all know how Florida State’s season has gone so that win doesn’t hold much value anymore.

But still, Georgia Tech is having a solid season. The Yellow Jackets now sit at 5-2 this season and are coming off back-to-back wins against Duke and North Carolina. Next up for Tech is a date with Notre Dame, and in all honesty I hope they win to knock the Irish out of Playoff contention.

But looking ahead to the season finale I again don’t see a way Georgia Tech comes to Athens and leaves with a win. I do think this game will be closer than people expect, but the Bulldogs will pull away late to make it seven straight rivalry wins and a five game win streak to end the season.

Prediction: Georgia wins 30-21

Final Record: 10-2 (6-2)

This won’t be good enough to make it to the SEC Championship game, but it will be plenty good to make it into the 12-team College Football Playoffs. From there the Bulldogs will need to win four games to win a national title, but after finishing with five straight wins I wouldn’t put it past this team.
