Ranking which CFP teams pose the biggest threat to Georgia football
The first edition of the College Football Playoff rankings are in, and Georgia football finds themselves comfortably inside the 12-team field.
Kirby Smart's squad is the No. 3 team in the country according to the CFP Committee, but are currently the No. 2 seed in the playoff bracket as Oregon and Ohio State come in ahead of the Bulldogs.
But now that the first edition of the 12-team field is known, Georgia fans can begin analyzing who they could play in the CFP later this season. They can also look and see who the biggest threat to Georgia might be in their quest to win a National Championship.
So let's break it down one by one, beginning with No. 11, and see which teams are the biggest threats to Georgia this season.
11. Boise State Broncos
Sorry to the Boise State fans out there, but the Broncos aren't much of a threat to Georgia this season.
Yes Boise State has the best running back in the country in Ashton Jeanty, but do they have anyone else that Georgia would be super concnered about? Not really.
Nobody else on the Broncos' offense would be a threat to Georgia's defense, so it would be as simple as stacking the box to limit Jeanty as much as possible and make Boise State beat them through the air. Good luck if that's the case.
Boise State also would have no answer for Georgia's offense, who would probably end up scoing over 40 points in this game. No offense to Boise State, but no team in the country can beat Georgia if they score 40 points.
So while it will be fun to cheer for Boise State as the underdog of the playoffs, they really aren't much of a threat to Georgia.
