If Georgia football is going to be successful this season, every coach and player are going to have to be on the same page at all times. This can be extremely difficult to accomplish in the ever-changing college football landscape, but Georgia linebacker Raylen Wilson showed on Thursday that the entire team won't let money be a distraction as they have all bought into Kirby Smart's NIL strategy.
"I feel like nowadays college football, mostly people care more about money. Here we make sure that’s not the biggest issue."

Very strong comments made by Wilson that certainly seem to fit the ethos at Georgia. https://t.co/9I2lpjFDap pic.twitter.com/Jb170RpZL6
Georgia LB agrees with Kirby Smart's NIL philosophy
A few weeks ago at SEC Media Days, Smart detailed how Georgia sells "relationships over transactions." This essentially means that Georgia cares more about finding the right players that want to play for Georgia and do not care nearly as much about the amount of NIL money they will be making.
This does limit the amount of players that Georgia will recruit because there are many players whose top priority is making as much money as possible. But Smart and his staff are more than willing to let those players go elsewhere so they can keep the culture at Georgia exactly how they want it.
This comment from Wilson shows that Smart and his staff were successful in keeping their locker room culture how they want it. This shows that every player is at Georgia for the right reason, to win as many football games as possible.
No one is saying that Georgia's players shouldn't try to go earn their money, but the problem that exists at some schools is that this is the top priority for their players. So as long as Georgia's team always cares about playing football and winning more than their paycheck, then Georgia will have a great chance to accomplish their goals this season.
