The NFL is gearing up for the beginning of their preseason games, and this means that football fans will start to learn who will be the starters this season and who the backups will be. This is always an interesting thing for Georgia football fans to follow because there are so many Bulldogs who are battling to earn a starting spot with their NFL teams every year.

This detail is especially fun to watch for Georgia’s incoming rookies because becoming a starter as a rookie is very challenging. Offensive lineman Jared Wilson however appears to be one of Georgia’s rookies who has already won the starting job with the New England Patriots, and it sounds like his teammates have been very impressed with him so far.

Jared Wilson trending to be a starter with the New England Patriots

According to New England Patriots reporter Carlos Lopez, it is already believed that Wilson has won the starting left guard spot with the Patriots. This is quite the feat to accomplish at this point in the offseason since New England hasn’t even played a preseason game yet, but that just goes to show how ready for the NFL Wilson was.

The fact that Wilson is this ready for the NFL already is extremely impressive as well. Radi Nabulsi with Rivals pointed out that Wilson only started 12 games during his Georgia career, so already being good enough to start in the NFL is a remarkable accomplishment.

The bad news for Wilson is that the Patriots haven’t been that good of a team since Tom Brady left their organization years ago. But things change so fast in the NFL so New England could be a team on the rise in the league over the next few years.

And considering how important a dominant offensive line is in the NFL, Wilson could be one of the biggest reasons why the Patriots improve over the next few seasons.
