Georgia football is gearing up for their College Football Playoff run that begins in a few weeks, but while UGA waits to play their first game on Jan. 1, it is time to look ahead for a brief moment in time to the 2025 season.

Key Takeaways
The first thing that jumps out is how difficult of an opening stretch Georgia received. Their first two games are easy non-conference matchups, but after that the Bulldogs travel to Tennessee than host Alabama at home. Thankfully there is a week off between the Tennessee and Alabama games, but if Georgia wins these first two SEC games they will take complete control of the SEC standings early on.
It's also interesting to point out that Georgia only plays three true road games next season. These games are Tennessee on 9/13, Auburn 10/11 and Mississippi State on 11/8. The reason it worked out this way is because Georgia still has their annual neutral site game against Florida, but their season finale against Georgia Tech that was supposed to be a road game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta next season.
You might also notice that this schedule looks a little familiar. That's because the SEC gave each team the same SEC opponents as this season, but just flipped the venue they will be playing at. So all of the teams Georgia played at home this season they will play on the road, and all the teams they played on the road will come to Athens next season. This is great news for Georgia fans because the home slate will be electric next season with Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss all coming to Sanford Stadium.
