Georgia football's official 2026 schedule was released Thursday night. The Bulldogs have a lot of high profile matchups once again next season which includes road trips to Alabama and Ole Miss as well as a chance for revenge against Jared Curtis and Vanderbilt at home.

Georgia also will get to play their traditional rival Auburn again next year, but it's clear that the SEC is doing everything they can to help the Tigers finally beat Georgia next season.

SEC gives Auburn a clear advantage over Georgia in 2026

Georgia has absolutely dominated Auburn over the last decade. The Bulldogs have beat Auburn nine times in a row, and they will look to make it 10 straight next season when they battle the Tigers in Athens.

Georgia will face Auburn at home during week seven on Oct. 17. This will be Georgia's last game before their one and only bye week next season, but Auburn however gets to have their bye week right before this game. So the Tigers will head to Athens after a week off which will give them a clear advantage over Georgia because they will have more time to prepare for this game and get healthy.

Georgia however has to play their most difficult game of the season the week before playing Auburn as they will hit the road and play at Alabama. So while Auburn gets to sit at home and rest up, Georgia has to face an Alabama team on the road who will be looking for revenge after losing to UGA in the SEC Championship game.

Auburn also had a bye week this past season before playing Georgia as well, so that advantage clearly did not help them this year. But it's clear that the SEC wants to help Auburn beat Georgia next year, but history shows this scheduling quirk won't change a thing and UGA will still find a way to win this game.
