7. Florida Gators

Top Transfers: WR J. Michael Sturdivant, S Michael Caraway Jr., EDGE Kofi Asare

Biggest Losses: EDGE T.J. Searcy, EDGE Jack Pyburn, CB Ja'Keem Jackson

The Florida Gators are the team most SEC fans might be sleeping on the most. Last year they finished 8-5 while only going 4-4 in conference play, but most of those losses were very competitive.

Quarterback DJ Lagway is back this year, and if he stays healthy he could quickly become one of the best QBs in the country.

The thing that could hold Florida back during the 2025 season is their schedule. Florida plays LSU, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Ole Miss during conference play, and they also will play Florida State and Miami (FL) during non-conference play as well. A 9-3 record with that schedule should be good enough to make the College Football Playoff, and in all honesty it'd be silly to bet against them.
