Missouri had a lot of hype heading into the 2024 season after they beat Ohio State in their bowl game at the end of the 2023 season. That hype however never turned into anything too concrete.

Missouri was not a bad team by any means, but their 10-3 record felt very fortunate and not something that can be replicated.

The Tigers did bring in some decent talent this offseason led by former Georgia EDGE Damon Wilson, but the roster has some obvious holes that were not addressed. On the bright side, Missouri will face one of the easier SEC schedules this season, so that could help them rack up some wins in conference play.

But they by no means are a team that will be able to contend for a spot in the SEC Championship game or College Football Playoff this year.
