Is anyone satisfied with the NCAA right now? Ever since the Transfer Portal and NIL became legal college athletics has taken a serious hit thanks to the NCAA's lack of a backbone. Almost no structure exists in the sport, players and teams can do whatever they want, and when teams blantently cheat there are no consequences.

Even with all of that being the case, Georgia has still found immense success as a program over the last few years. Other SEC schools however aren't able to say the same thing, and this has led to some members of the SEC conspiring behind the scenes in an attempt to leave the NCAA altogether.

SEC members want to ruin Georgia's run of dominance

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey shared that a few SEC schools have approcahed him about leaving the NCAA altogether. They would rather start their own independent league rather than continuing to play under the NCAA's rules.

It is unclear which schools are wanting the SEC to break away from the NCAA, but it's hard to believe Georgia would be one of those schools. The Bulldogs have found nearly all of their success under Kirby Smart since NIL and the Transfer Portal began, so why would they want to make as big of a chance as this would be right now?

The good news for Georgia is that Sankey is not interested in making this change. He wants to stick with the NCAA and work on making the product better within the current framework. That will not be an easy task, but President Donald Trump appears to be on board with getting college athletics back to the pre-NIL era.

So while other SEC teams want to make this drastic change, Sankey thankfully isn't interested at this time. That hopefully will mean that Georgia's run of dominance over the football world won't be ending anytime soon.
