8. Ole Miss Rebels
Wrapping up the top half of the SEC power rankings is an Ole Miss team that has been better than most people expected this season. Ole Miss is 12-2 so far this season and are coming off a solid double digit win over a 1-loss Georgia team from this past weekend.
The problem for Ole Miss however is that this win over Georgia is the best win of their season so far. And when comparing that to the teams above Ole Miss in these rankings, it's quite clear that there is a substantial gap between the Rebels and these other teams.
This trend will continue for Ole Miss this week as they have a somewhat easy two game stretch beginning with Arkansas on Wednesday then LSU on Saturday. These are two games Ole Miss has to win if they want to be taken seriously in the SEC this season.
After these games, Ole Miss goes on an insane stretch that will see them play Alabama, Mississippi State and Texas A&M three games in a row, so that is when everyone will finally learn what this Ole Miss team is truly made of.
