This week's results: 88-68 loss vs. Alabama, 66-63 loss vs. Auburn
Heading into the bottom two teams we find a South Carolina team that actually moved up one spot from where they ranked in last week's rankings. Sure South Carolina did struggle against Alabama at home, but they nearly knocked off the No. 2 team in the county in Auburn, only losing by three points.
That result was more than good enough to slide them up past the team we will find in the final spot.
Up next for the Gamecocks are two good opportunities for them to earn their first win of the SEC season. The first is against a beatable Vanderbilt team on Wednesday before they take on another winless SEC team in Oklahoma. Unfortunately for South Carolina, they have to play both teams on the road, but there is a good chance they get at least one win this week, especially if they continue to play as well as they did against Auburn.
