Mississippi State is another team like Texas A&M that has had a solid start to their season, but there is still a lot of unknown about how good they can be. The Bulldogs are 14-2 this season and 2-1 in SEC play, but their resume isn't as strong as some other teams, and the one good team they've played in Kentucky they lost to by five.
They did handle their business early in the week against Vanderbilit, but that is a team everyone expected them to beat.
Up next for the Bulldogs is a matchup on the road against No. 1 Auburn on Wednesday. Obviously a win in this game will change the entire perception of how good Mississippi State is, but it's hard to count on them winning this game. After that they host another undefeated SEC team in Ole Miss, which may be a better opportunity for them to get a big win.
