The dirtiest Dawgs always come out at night - both on the field and in the stands.
Kirby Smart, the coaches, and the players have had all day to get their adrenaline pumping, and the fans have had an extra six hours to get nice and lubricated at the tailgate. This is when college football is at its best.
So why has the SEC and ESPN only given Georgia one night game so far? Yes, it's against Alabama in Athens, but several more big games this season merited a nighttime slot.
Enough with all the early starts and afternoon games
Eight of the nine games on Georgia's 2025 schedule start between noon and 4:00 PM. Clearly every team in the country is going to have its fair share of early and afternoon starts, but Georgia is seemingly going to have more than anyone else.
Some games like Georgia's rivalry showdown against Florida in Jacksonville would feel wrong as a night contest, but others could easily have been pushed into the evening.
After the big showdown against Alabama in Sanford Stadium Sep. 27, which starts at 7:30 pm EST, the Bulldogs have two games that start at noon (Kentucky and Mississippi St.), and a game that kicks off at 12:45 against Charlotte. The rest are 3:30 and 4 :00 pm EST starts.
3 remaining games could be at night
There are three games that do not have a start time announced yet, and each of them are a great opportunity to be played at night. The most obvious game that should be at night is Georgia's SEC finale against Texas. The Longhorns and Georgia are projected to be the two best teams in the SEC, so it is nearly impossible to not make this SEC Championship rematch a night game.
Georgia's rematch against Ole Miss is a great candidate as well as their road game against Auburn. But for the sake of UGA, it might be nice to avoid having a night game on the road against one of Georgia's biggest rivals.
Hopefully the schedule makers do right by Georgia and add a few more night games, because if they don't it would be a waste of one of the best schedules UGA has had in quite some time.
