Georgia owns Auburn. There’s no other way to put it. The Bulldogs are currently riding a nine game win streak against the Tigers, but their dominance extends much further than that.

Georgia has only lost to Auburn once during Kirby Smart’s tenure, and they avenged that loss later that year in the 2017 SEC Championship game. The Bulldogs have also won 18 of the last 21 meetings against Auburn, so there really is no debate who the better program is.

But why is Georgia so dominant? Auburn has had some really good teams over the years, so why do they struggle to beat Georgia?

The answer to that question was indirectly answered by Auburn’s Dillon Wade at the NFL Combine.

"I can tolerate Georgia... but I hate Alabama."

Auburn will never top Georgia again with this mindset

During Wade's press confernece at the NFL Combine he spoke about his hatred for Auburn's rivals. Everyone knows that Alabama is a bigger rival to Auburn than Georgia is, and Wade confirmed that. But it doesn't seem like he hates UGA at all, and the fact that he can tolerate Georgia is the problem.

No one at Georgia can tolerate Auburn. Georgia despises them and will do everything they can to beat them every time they take the field. This game is always one of the most important on the schedule every season, and that importance is likely what has swung this rivalry in Georgia's favor so heavily.

Auburn not really caring about Georgia is probably in their best interest though. This helps ensure that Georgia keeps beating Auburn every year, and that is the only thing that matters.

Wade only meant to talk about his hatred for Alabama, but unfortunately he might've exposed the real reason Auburn can't beat Georgia anymore.
