Steve Sarkisian's refusal to make key adjustment is best-case scenario for Georgia

The most difficult opponent left on Georgia's schedule this season is the Texas Longhorns. Texas has had their fair share of issues this year, but they still have all the talent that is required to hang with and beat a team like Georgia.

The biggest problem Texas has faced this season is their offense that has not lived up to expectations. A big reason for that is the struggles that Arch Manning has experienced at quarterback, but head coach Steve Sarkisian should receive a lot of the blame as well as the Longhorns play caller.

Earlier this week Sarkisian was asked if he's thought about giving up play calling duties, and he gave a response that every Georgia fan should be excited to see.

"That's why I got hired. I was a really good offensive coordinator... . I'm always going to tap into the strengths that I have and I think being a play-caller on offense is one of my strengths. Some may disagree. That's okay."

Steve Sarkisian's hesitation to make a necessary change is good news for Georgia

Sarkisian shared earlier this week that he will not be giving up his play calling duties. He said that his success as a play caller is why Texas hired him in the first place, so he has no intentions of giving up that responsibility.

This is good news for Georgia in their upcoming matchup against Texas because the Longhorns have really been struggling on offense. In fact, they are only averaging 26.71 points per game this season which is No. 11 in the SEC. Georgia's defense on the other hand is giving up less than 20 points per game this year, so that is a huge element in UGA's favor for their upcoming game.

If Sarkisian was wise he would think about letting someone else call plays for Texas. What he has done so far this season clearly hasn't been working for Texas, so it is strange that he is unwilling to try something new. But when it comes to Georgia's chances at beating Texas, Sarkisian continuing to call their offensive plays is the best thing possible for UGA.
