Pro Football Focus (PFF) released their top duos at every position in the NFL heading into the 2025 season. Considering Georgia is one of the programs with the most players in the NFL, it won't be surprising to find out that a few Bulldogs made this list at multiple positions.
But it's the defensive line position that stands out the most because two Georgia defenders who happen to be on the same team were named the best defensive line duo in the NFL.
Former Georgia stars named the best duo in the NFL
Former Georgia football legends Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter are defensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles. The two Bulldogs are coming off Super Bowl winning seasons with the Eagles, and the expectation is that they will help Philly contend for a Super Bowl championship again this year.
And according to PFF, they will be able to greatly contribute to that goal as they were named the best defensive line duo in the entire NFL.
Davis is coming off a solid season where he recorded 27 tackles which included one sack and one fumble recovery. Carter on the other hand was one of the top defenders for the Eagles last season as he tallied 42 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
Davis was not much of a contributor in the second half of last season after teammate Milton Williams burst onto the scene. But Williams has made the move to New England which opens the door for Davis to have a much better season alongside Carter.
It will be fun for Georgia fans to watch the Eagles again this season because they will once again be the NFL team with the most former Bulldogs on their roster. But out of all the former Georgia stars in Philadelphia, these two have a chance to make the biggest impact during the season.
