Georgia football has one of their biggest games of the season quickly approaching. The Bulldogs welcome one of their biggest rivals to Sanford Stadium on Friday night in the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

It's always a massive game whenever Georgia plays Georgia Tech, but this year it is especially important. A loss makes next weekend's SEC Championship game a must-win just for Georgia to get into the College Football Playoff, and that is not a scenario any Georgia fan, player or coach wants to be in.

Speaking of fans, the rowdy Georgia crowd has to bring the energy again on Friday to help give the team the best chance possible to win this game. Georgia's team knows this, and offensive lineman Tate Ratledge spoke out and urged the Georgia fans to give them another great atmosphere on Friday night.

"Y’all had Sanford rocking two weeks ago! We need that same energy this weekend!"

Georgia football fans can have a huge impact on this game

Everyone knows how much of an impact Georgia fans had during the Bulldogs' 31-17 win against Tennessee two week ago. The Vols got off to a fast 10-0 start, but UGA fans did not give up on the game. They stayed active and loud, and once Georgia started coming back on the field the fans made it impossible for Tennessee to get the momentum back.

That is exactly what Georgia needs from the beginning of the game against Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets are the only team to beat Miami (FL) this season, so they are more than capable of pulling off an upset against Georgia. So the last thing UGA needs is for the Yellow Jackets to get off to a fast start and get all the momentum on their side.

And Georgia fans can help prevent this from happening by bringing the same amount of energy, if not more, like they did against Tennessee a couple weeks ago.
