Taylor Swift has become one of the biggest figures in the football world over the past few years. Swift never had any intentions of doing that, but after starting a public relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce it has been impossible to stay out of the limelight.
At this point football fans have become used to seeing Swift hanging around the NFL and Chiefs every Sunday, but she has yet to make her way into the college football world. That however changed this week as Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart said that her music is featured on his pregame playlist.
"I listen to all genres, I have a little mixtape, and so it might have some things that my daughter put on there, my wife put on there, like Taylor Swift," Smart shared via si.com."But that doesn't always energize me. So I have to go to 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and some other things to mix it up."
Kirby Smart listens to Taylor Swift before Georgia football games
Based on Smart's statement it sounds like it is not his choice to have her music on his playlist. He shared that his wife and daughter are responsible for her music being on his playlist, but it doesn't sound like he is upset about it.
Smart did admit that Swift's music isn't the best for getting energized before a game, but he does have other options on his playlist that accomplishes that. But it does sound like he enjoys Swift's music enough to not hit skip when she comes on.
Georgia's next game is this Saturday, Oct. 18 agaisnt No. 5 Ole Miss. Will Smart listed to Swift before this game? Will her music help him get in the right mindset before this matchup? It honestly probably doesn't matter either way, but the thought of Smart jamming out to Swift in the Georgia locker room is too funny to not imagine.
