Texas starts Transfer Portal drama with Georgia for no good reason

Texas has to lie just to be able to brag about anything over Georgia.

Texas defensive lineman Justus Terry was a player Georgia desperately wanted. He was a five-star recruit out of high school and one of the top players from the state of Georgia, but he ultimately chose to play for Texas instead of UGA.

This obviously was really upsetting because Georgia could've used a player like him, but the Bulldogs had no choice but to move on. But a Texas insider just claimed that Georgia hasn't moved on, but that couldn't more untrue.

The above social media post came from an Texas On3 insider. He is claiming that Georgia fans were convinced Terry would be entering the Transfer Portal this offseason and transfer to UGA. That however is not a true statement.

Would Georgia pursue Terry if he did enter the portal? Absolutely they would, but no one at Georgia was begging for that to happen. No one at Georgia was "infatuated" with Terry potentially hitting the portal either like they claimed.

Terry is a great player, no one can deny that, but Georgia doesn't need anyone from Texas. Has Texas already forgotten about what Georgia's done to them since they joined the SEC? Not only did Georgia destroy the Longhorns this season in Athens, but they beat them twice last year. So in just two seasons Georgia is 3-0 against Texas with a win on the road, at home and in the SEC Championship game.

So Texas is the last team anyone at Georgia should be worried about.

There's no good explanation for why this story was made up. Texas might just be a little insecure because they thought they were going to come into the SEC and dominate which has not happened thanks to Georgia, but whatever the reason is Georgia fans can sleep well at night knowing that they are the far better program.
