There are a lot of reasons why it is great to be a Georgia fan. The recent championships (both in the SEC and their two national titles) are the first things that come to mind, but their dominance over their three rivals is a big deal as well.
Georgia holds the all time series lead against Florida, Auburn and Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs have also only lost to these three rivals a combined four times in Kirby Smart's 10-year coaching career, so it really doesn't get much better than that.
Georgia also has a history of completely annihilating these three teams throughout the years as well, so let's revisit the largest margin of victory UGA has had against all three of their rivals.
Florida Gators - 1942
Georgia's rivalry against Florida has seen some fun matchups and some big blowouts along the way, but none were bigger than Georgia's 75-0 victory in 1942.
A 75-point victory seems impossible, but Georgia was able to retain their key players while a lot of rosters across the country were depleted due to World War 2. But even though this was never really a fair matchup, Georgia does get to boast about having the most lopsided victory in this rivalry's history.
Georgia was led this year by Frank Sinkwich who went on to win the Hesiman Trophy this season. 1942 also marks the first National Championship won by Georgia in their history.
Auburn Tigers - 1946
Georgia's largest margin of victory against the Auburn Tigers also came a long time ago as it occurred in 1946 when UGA beat the Tigers 41-0.
Individual stats for this game are not available, but this season overall was a massive success for Georgia. They finished the year 11-0 and were the No. 3 team in the country in the final AP Poll behind Notre Dame and Army.
Georgia went on to beat a top 10 North Carolina team in a bowl game after the final AP Poll was released while both Notre Dame and Army didn't play in a bowl game, so this led to Georgia being crowned a National Champion by the Williamson System. This championship though is not officially recognized by the NCAA and Georgia doesn't claim it either, but it shows just how good UGA was this year.
Georgia was led by star halfback Charley Trippi who won the Maxwell Award which goes to the nation's best college football player. He also finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting and was the SEC Player of the Year.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - 2021
Georgia's biggest victory over Florida and Auburn both occurred before most of us were even alive, but that is not the case with Georgia Tech. You only have to go back five years to find Georgia's most lopsided victory in this matchup when they took down the Yellow Jackets 45-0 on the road in 2021.
Stetson Bennett led the No. 1 Bulldogs to this dominant victory behind his four touchdown passes and 255 passing yards. Kenny McIntosh had two big runs for the Bulldogs, but Daijuan Edwards and James Cook did most of the damage on the ground.
Brock Bowers also had a monster game as he recorded three receptions for a whopping 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Georgia Tech does have the largest margin of victory in this rivalry as they won 48-0 in 1943, but the Bulldogs have been the much better program so they won't be losing any sleep over that.
