The Perfect Saturday for Georgia needs just 3 outcomes to occur

Georgia's perfect Saturday isn't that far-fetched.

Georgia football has their first bye of the season this weekend, so that means UGA fans have more time to watch teams from around the country play on Saturday. A lot of their attention likely will be on the SEC teams who do play this week, and looking at those matchups there are three outcomes that need to occur for this to be the perfect Saturday for Georgia.

Losses by Auburn and Florida

Watching Georgia's rivals lose is almost as good as seeing UGA win. Saturday gives two great opportunities for Georgia to see their two SEC rivals lose as Auburn travels to No. 11 Oklahoma while Florida hits the road to take on No. 4 Miami (FL).

Both Auburn and Florida are predicted to lose their games, and if that comes true it is the best possible scenario for Georgia. A loss by Auburn would knock them out of the top 25 rankings while also confirming they aren't as good as their fans are claiming. A loss by Florida however would be even better because it would be the third loss for the Gators already this season which would likely eliminate them from College Football Playoff contention.

However, a Florida win wouldn't be all that bad either. This would mean Carson Beck and the Hurricanes would suffer their first loss of the season which would allow Georgia to move up in the AP Poll rankings.

Texas continues to struggle

There unfortunately is no chance that Texas will lose on Saturday as they host Sam Houston, but continuing to see them struggle would be a big win for Georgia. The Longhorns were the preseason favorites to win the SEC, but so far they haven't even come close to living up to those expectations.

So seeing the Longhorns struggles continue (especially Arch Manning) would be a good sign for UGA's chances at repeating as SEC Champions.
