There are countless moments from Georgia's rivalry with Florida that will live on forever. But there aren't many that are as memorable as The Gator Stomp.
Georgia entered their matchup against Florida in 2007 as a significant underdog. The Gators had won eight of the last nine meetings, and all signs pointed to Florida adding yet another win. But head coach Mark Richt had an idea to try and swing this game in UGA's favor. He instructed his team to rush the field after Georgia's first touchdown to celebrate as a team, and that is exactly what they did.

The quarterback of this Florida team was Tim Tebow, and he shared earlier this week how this moment, as ridiculous as it was, still haunts him to this day.
"It was so devastating to me, to coach, to so many members of our team, that when we worked out in the offseason, there were a lot of workouts that we did where every rep we did," said Tebow si.com. “We were just thinking about this game."
Tim Tebow can't get over The Gator Stomp
Georgia went on to upset Florida 42-30, and this play deserves all of the credit. This moment gave Georgia all of the momentum in this matchp and told Florida that they were not going to back down even though the Gators had been dominating this rivalry.
Florida unfortunately got back to their winning ways in the years following this matchup, but it wasn't long until Georgia finally took control of this rivarly. Since 2011 Florida has just four wins over Georgia, and during the Kirby Smart era they only have two wins.
All signs point to Georgia getting yet another win agianst Florida on Saturday, but it is awesome to look back on this moment as nothing will ever be able to top it. And knowing it still haunts Tebow nearly 20 years later makes it that much better.
