2. Opening 2nd half kickoff

Notre Dame had just snatched all of the momentum heading into the locker room at halftime and were up 10 points. The Irish were also set to get the ball to start the second half meaning Georgia's defense had to get a stop to keep UGA in the game.

Unfortunately they didn't have a chance to step on the field as Notre Dame ran the opening kickoff of the second half back for a touchdown to take a 17 point lead.

Georgia's defense had been playing extremely well all game, so they more than likely would have gotten off the field early and given the offense a chance to cut into Notre Dame's 10 point lead. But UGA's special teams fell asleep, which was a common theme in this game, and allowed Notre Dame to build a lead no one can ever expect to come back from.

Yes, Georgia still had every chance to come back after this, but the game was essentially over the second this play happened.
