4. Trevor Etienne fumble

With a couple minutes to play in the first quarter and the score still tied 0-0, Georgia was putting together an impressive drive that saw them enter the red zone. UGA looked like they were going to take an early lead, that is until running back Trevor Etienne fumbled the ball and gave the Notre Dame defense a huge stop.

The shocking thing about this play is that this is the first fumble of Etienne's career, even going back to his two seasons at Florida.

Georgia undoubtedly had Notre Dame on their heels the entire first quarter. Their defense was flying around the field and Georgia's offense had possession of the ball for over 10 minutes in the first quarter, but thy were unable to come away with any points. That proved to be a huge mistake because the Irish finally found their groove on both sides of the ball and never looked back.

This play was yet another example of Georgia failing to take the lead and momentum after severly outplaying Notre Dame for the first 25 minutes of the game. You just can't do that and expect to beat a great team like Notre Dame.
