Top 5 wins during Kirby Smart's Georgia football tenure

4. 2017 SEC Championship vs Auburn

Coming in at No. 4 I have Smart's first SEC Championship that came against none other than rival Auburn. Smart's first championship of any kind is a huge milestone from his tenure, but the fact that it came against Auburn makes it that much better.

But to make this win good enough to be in the top five is the fact that it was a revenge game for the Bulldogs, who lost to Auburn 40-17 just a couple weeks prior.

Georgia however did not let that loss impact them, actually they used it as motivation to come out and control this game all night long.

Auburn looked like they were going to dominate this matchup just like the first meeting after taking a 7-0 lead just five minutes into the game. But the Bulldogs settled in from there and held a 10-7 lead at the half. Georgia's defense continued to play out of their minds and the offense really picked it up in the second half en route to a 28-7 victory.

The realization of what Georgia could become under Smart officially hit me after this game. Yes it took a few years still to get to the top of the college football world, but this win cemented in my mind what was to come later in Smart's tenure, and later on this list.
