Top 5 wins during Kirby Smart's Georgia football tenure
2. National Championship vs TCU
I'll be honest, I thought about ranking this game much lower because it really wasn't much of a game. But a national championship is a national championship, so I have to put it this high because there is no greater achievement in college football than that.
I'm struggling for the right word to describe this win, so we'll just say that Georgia destroyed TCU 65-7 to cap off their perfect 15-0 season.
To be fair to TCU, they did make it seem like they'd be able to hang with Georgia in the first quarter after scoring a touchdown to make it 10-7, but we all know how long that lasted. Georgia marched right down the field, then marched right down the field again and before we knew it the score was 38-7 at the half.
Even though the blowout maybe made the game less exciting to watch, I would argue that it was pretty fun knowing the game was over in the second quarter. We were able to start our collective celebrations early and sit back and relax and watch the second half without a worry in the world.
So even though this game does rank pretty low from an excitment standpoint, it has to be No. 2 on my rankings simply because it won Smart his second national championship.
