There are many ways that Georgia football can learn if they’re in a good position with a recruit or not. Whether it be making a “top 10 list” or something similar, receiving expert predictions in UGA’s favor or a recruit coming out and saying Georgia is their leader are by far the most common.
There’s also another way that isn’t quite as noticeable, but is another great sign that Georgia is recruiting a player well. And that is when they wear Georgia gear during a public workout, camp or high school game.

4-star RB Ezavier Crowell
Ezavier Crowell is a four-star running back from Jackson, AL. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Crowell is the No. 87 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 6 overall player from Alabama and the No. 6 running back in the 2026 recruiting class as well.
In the above post, you can see Crowell rocking Georgia gloves during the Rivals camp from this past weekend. This is a great sign that Georgia is one of the top schools in Crowell's recruitment, which is a big deal for someone ranked this high. Unfortunately for Georgia, they aren't the only school that Crowell did this for as he wore Alabama gloves the day before he wore Georgia gloves on Sunday.
This coincides with who many recruiting experts believe is the leader in Crowell's recruitment as Alabama is the heavy favorite according to On3. Georgia, Auburn, Texas and Florida State are the remaining schools who are in Crowell's top five who still have a chance to land his commitment.
Crowell has announced an official visit with all five schools for later this summer, and Georgia's visit will be first when they host Crowell beginning May 30. This will be the best chance Kirby Smart and his staff have to convince Crowell that Georgia is the best fit for him, so hopefully they use this opportunity to their advantage.
