Georgia got back in the winner's circle on Saturday after their 35-14 win over Kentucky. But the Bulldogs have no time to celebrate as they have a massive showdown looming against Auburn.
It is always a big deal whenever these two programs play, and that will be no different this year. The SEC and TV networks recognize how big of a deal this rivalry is, so they rewarded both teams with a night game on the biggest stage the sport has to offer.
Georgia vs. Auburn game time, TV channel announced
Georgia's rivalry matchup at Auburn is officially scheduled for 7:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 11. This game will be aired on ABC in front of a national audience that will be looking to see if the Bulldogs can make it nine straight victories over the Tigers.
Georgia enters this game with a 4-1 record after taking down the Wildcats this past weekend. Auburn on the other hand sits at 3-2 and are coming off their first bye week of the season.
This week off will give Auburn a small advantage over Georgia who has played two tough, pysical opponents the last two weeks. On top of that advantage, getting a night game will benefit Auburn as well. But will it be enough for Auburn to finally notch a win agianst UGA? Only time will tell.
Georgia has a difficult journey in front of them this season. They have a few more games left on their schedule that will be more difficult to win than this one, so at this point Georgia can't afford to drop a game to this Auburn team.
But the Tigers aren't going to go down without a fight, so Georgia will have to bring their best game if they want to leave with a victory.
