Georgia football currently sits at 3-1 after falling to Alabama this past weekend. Up next is another home contest against Kentucky which shouldn’t present too much of a challenge for UGA.
While Georgia will have to handle their business against the Wildcats this weekend first, it’s impossible to not look ahead to their showdown with Auburn in two weeks. It may still feel like a long time from now, but some new information has just been released about this game that fans won’t want to miss including the start time and TV network airing the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

TV and kickoff time set for Georgia vs. Auburn
Georgia and Auburn are scheduled to do battle on Saturday Oct. 11. The game will be aired either on ABC or ESPN and it’s been confirmed to be a night game under the lights. The official start time will be announced after this weekend’s games, but it will start between 7:00 and 7:45 pm EST.
Auburn has fallen on hard times this season as they have dropped each of their last two games. This includes a seven point loss to Oklahoma and a six point loss to Texas A&M this past weekend. Both of these games were on the road against teams ranked inside the top 10 of the AP Poll, so these weren’t terrible results by any means.
Auburn has one big advantage entering this game as they are on a bye this week. So they will be more rested compared to Georgia who has to face Kentucky at home on Saturday. Also in Auburn’s favor is the fact they will be retiring Cam Newton’s jersey during this game. This will only add to the crazy atmosphere that will be ready to see Auburn finally beat Georgia again.
Auburn will be a tough test for Georgia, but if they play their game they should expect to beat the Tigers for the ninth year in a row.
