TV, kickoff time set for Georgia football vs. Kentucky

Georgia football has their full attention on Alabama as the two sides are set to battle this Saturday in Athens. But new information has just been released for Georgia’s week six game against Kentucky that includes the official game time and TV network that will air this SEC showdown.

Georgia’s week six game at home against Kentucky unsurprisingly will be featured on national TV as ABC will broadcast the game. This game is scheduled for a 12:00 pm EST kick which will be the first noon start for the Bulldogs this season.

Kentucky on paper should not provide much of a challenge for Georgia in this game. The Wildcats so far are 2-1 this year with their two wins coming against Toledo and Eastern Michigan. Their one loss however came against the only quality opponent they’ve played as Ole Miss beat them 30-23 at home. A seven point loss really isn’t that bad to a team like the Rebels, but a loss is still a loss and it by no means was a sign that they are a good team.

Up next for the Wildcats is their first road game of the season as they travel to South Carolina this weekend. The Gamecocks have been a disappointment so far this year, so this will be a good chance for Kentucky to get their first SEC win of the season. Regardless, the fact that Kentucky will come to Georgia for their second straight road game is a huge advantage for the Bulldogs when these two teams take the field next week.

Georgia does have to get by Alabama this weekend before they can turn their attention to Kentucky, but it will be nice to play an easier opponent after facing Tennessee and Alabama in back to back games. UGA does need to be careful though because this Kentucky team nearly pulled off the upset last season as Georgia only won by one point.

Either way, Georgia should enter this game expecting to win by a comfortable margin.
