Georgia football is in a very good spot with their 2026 recruiting class. The Bulldogs have the No. 2 class in the country with a chance to move up to the top spot with a few more commitments.

Georgia's focus will remain on wrapping up their 2026 class over the next few months, but Kirby Smart and his staff can't afford to forget about the 2027 class either. The Bulldogs have four players currently committed to their 2027 class which is good enough to have the No. 7 class in the country. Their top two commits however are some of the best players in the country as they both saw their recruiting ranking shoot up the 247Sports rankings this week.

2 Georgia commits shoot up 247Sports recruiting rankings

247Sports released an update to their rankings on Wednesday, and the Bulldogs two highest commits both climbed up these rankings. The highest ranked commit in Georgia's class is corner Donte Wright who shot up from No. 91 to No. 34. Offensive tackle Kelsey Adams didn't climb as much as Wright did, but he moved up from No. 60 to No. 54 in their composite rankings on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs have two other commits in their 2027 class, but both are ranked outside of the top 250 for now.

Georgia clearly has a lot of work to do over the next year with their 2027 class, but the fact that UGA already has one of the best classes in the country is a huge deal. However, it's even more exciting to see that Georgia has two commits ranked so high already who can become the leaders of this class throughout the next year.

The Bulldogs will continue to put an emphasis on recruiting the 2027 class during every home game the rest of this season, so don't be surprised to see Georgia add some more commits before the season comes to an end.
