One target that Georgia football is turning up the heat on is three-star offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell. Most times a three-star recruit won't get the Georgia fanbase overly excited, but looking at Campbell's offer sheet shows that he may just need a bump in his ranking.

Campbell holds offers from programs like Georgia, Penn State, Florida, Miami (FL), Texas A&M and Florida State. An offer list like that doesn't really sound like someone that should only be the No. 592 player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Kirby Smart and Georgia however do not care about a player's ranking. If they see a recruit they like they will target him no matter what the recruiting services have to say about them. And that is exactly what is happening with Campbell as he is fresh off an official visit to Athens this past weekend.

This visit appears to have gone extremely well because Campbell said that Georgia is at the top of his list now. They however are not there alone as he stated Georgia is tied with the Florida Gators atop his list.

"They are tied right now, both equally as high.”

Georgia will have to hold off Florida for Campbell's commitment

Georgia and Florida do battle every season on the football field, and these games are always one of the most anticipated of the season. The rivalry has been in UGA's favor in recent years, but Florida is looking to change that beginning with finding some success against Georgia on the recruiting trail.

Georgia is in about as good of a position as they can be for Campbell right now, but they will have to hold on as Campbell does have his official visit scheduled with Florida this weekend. According to his 247Sports profile, he will also be taking an official visit to Ohio State and Penn State in the coming weeks as well.

No commitment date has been announced by Campbell yet, so Georgia has plenty of time to completely move above Florida in this recruitment. But hopefully Campbell looks at the recent history on the field between these two programs, because that could be the thing that shifts this recruitment in Georgia's favor.
