What positions come to mind when you think about the most athletic players on a football field? Corner and wide receiver might immediately come to mind as well as safety and running backs. But potentially the last position people think of is the offensive line, specifically the lineman on the interior of the offensive line.

The average college football fan may just view these players as overweight who are there to just take up space and get in the way of the defensive lineman. But that couldn't be further from the truth.

Think for one second how fast these large humans are able to move. Not only are they able to move side to side extremely well in pass protection, but they also get out in front of running backs to lead the way on run plays as well. So when you think about all they can do on a football field at their size, it is actually very impressive.

So when two Georgia football offensive lineman were named the most athletic players at the 2025 NFL Combine, maybe we all shouldn't be that surprised.

Jared Wilson and Tate Ratledge

According to Next Gen Stats, center Jared Wilson and offensive guard Tate Ratledge were named the two most athletic players at the NFL Combine this season. Even after explaining why lineman are just as athletic as everyone else, it is quite amazing that two of Georgia's lineman sat at the top of these rankings.

But Ratledge and Wilson both deserve this honor. Wilson was ranked the second best center in Combine history (dating back to 1987) while Ratledge finished No. 5 during the same timeframe for offensive guards.

This is the exact performance both Wilson and Ratledge needed because Georgia's offensive line as a whole was not very impressive this past season. But both players showed how great they can be during the Combine this past weekend, so they both should not be concerned about their NFL Draft stock right now.
