Alabama is afraid to play Georgia. Well, maybe their team isn't, but Crimson Tide fans surely are.
This may seem like a weird thing to say because of how dominant Alabama has been against Georgia, but one Crimson Tide fan took to social media to express how scared they were to play UGA in the SEC Championship game.
So if we beat Auburn tomorrow the prize is we get to play Georgia again? pic.twitter.com/65cgQ3CS1I

The video in the post says "I am in hell" which clearly shows how concerned they are to play Georgia. And this fan isn't the only one who feels this way because this post got over 1,000 likes on it.
Alabama fans are afraid to play Georgia
On the surface it makes no sense why Alabama would be afraid to play Georgia. In the last 10 meetings between these teams the Crimson Tide have won nine times. This includes an impressive 1-7 record against Kirby Smart during his tenure at Georgia. Alabama even beat Georgia earlier this season in Athens, so why would they be afraid to play them again?
One reason they might be afraid is because of how great Georgia has looked since they lost to Alabama in week five. Georgia has won eight straight games to finish the season which included wins against Texas, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech. On top of that, Georgia has turned into a complete team as both their offense and defense are playing at an extremely high level.
Alabama on the other hand has been struggling as the season has come to an end. Three weeks ago they lost to Oklahoma at home before barely beating Auburn on Saturday. On top of that, Alabama has the added fear of missing the College Football Playoff altogether if they lose to Georgia.
So while Alabama should be confident entering this matchup, their fans are not, and that is a testament to how good UGA has been since their loss to the Crimson Tide earlier this season.
