Georgia fans will be reliving their victory over Alabama in the SEC Championship for years and years to come. That game went about as perfect as anyone could have hoped for as Georgia dominated the Tide all game long en route to their 28-7 victory.

A win as big as that deserves to be celebrated, and those celebrations began right away in the locker room. Typically fans don’t get to see those celebrations, but the SEC released Kirby Smart’s postgame speech that he gave to his team and fans will not want to miss what he had to say.

Kirby Smart gave a legendary postgame speech after winning the SEC

Smart began his speech by praising his players for the work they did this season. Georgia was nowhere near good enough to win an SEC title at the beginning of the season, but after months of hard work they were able to get their. Smart said that he and their coaches demanded excellence from them, and that’s exactly what they gave them.

Smart also highlighted the fact that Georgia hasn’t won back to back SEC titles since 1982, so this team accomplished something that no one has in over 40 years.

The last thing Smart said however was the most important. He shared that he thinks this team can still get better, and if they are going to win a national title they’re going to have to keep improving.

Everyone knows that this team can win a national title. Everyone also knows that their job is not done. Georgia still has three more games they need to win, and if they do they will get UGA back to the top of the college football world. Not only that, but they will continue Georgia’s dynasty that would include three titles in five years.

Smart knows his team is capable of pulling that off, and he made sure they knew that immediately after winning the SEC.
