The college football season is officially underway as a handful of games took place this past weekend. None of those games consisted of anyone in the SEC though, so the No. 1 conference in the country is yet to put their mark on the new season.

The first SEC teams are set to begin their seasons in just a few short days, so now is the best time to rank each team in the conference as all 16 teams look to take home the SEC Championship in Atlanta later this season.

So let's dive right in and begin with the No. 16 team in the conference and work all the way down to the best team in the SEC entering the season.

16. Mississippi State Bulldogs

2024 SEC Record: 0-8

Mississippi State unfortunately was the only team in the SEC last season that went winless during conference play. So the goal for the Bulldogs this season is simple, win at least one game in the SEC.

Mississippi State did everything they could this offseason to accomplish that goal as they were the most active team in the conference in the Transfer Portal, but that doesn't automatically mean they will be better this season.

It wouldn't be all that surprising to see Mississippi State go winless again this season, but in reality this team should be able to pick up at least one victory this year.
