3. Alabama Crimson Tide

2024 SEC Record: 5-3

Alabama might be the biggest "what if" team from the 2024 season. The Tide were able to beat the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs last year, but they lost two games that a program like Alabama should never lose.

One week after beating Georgia they went to Vanderbilt and got upset by the Commordores. Then towards the end of the season they had an embarrassing showing against a bad Oklahoma team, losing to the Sooners 24-3. If Alabama won those two games they would've been playing for an SEC Championship and likely making a run in the College Football Playoff.

Alabama will once again have a lot of talent this season, but they will have to avoid falling short against the bad teams on their schedule this year. If they can do that, they very well could be playing in Atlanta for an SEC Championship while also being one of the favorites to win a National Championship.
