Week one in the SEC is in the books and the conference has already had some great moments and some ugly performances early in the season. LSU led the way with the most impressive win of the week while blue bloods Alabama and Texas did not come up close to living up to their reputations this week.
These rankings will likely change a lot week to week still, but let's see how far Texas and Alabama fell and who took over the top spot as the favorite in the SEC heading into week two.
16. Kentucky Wildcats
Week 1 Ranking: 15
Week 1 Result: 24-16 win vs Toledo
Kentucky's first opponent of the season was Toledo who most would initially assume should be an easy win, but the Rockets were actually one of the most popular picks this season to be the Group of Five representative in the College Football Playoff, so a win in any fashion in this game would be pretty solid.
Unfortunately they were only able to win by eight points and didn't look so great along the way.
Kentucky has a chance this weekend agaisnt Ole Miss to prove that they can be a respected team in the SEC this season, but there is a chance this game gets ugly in a hurry.
Week 2 Opponent: Ole Miss
