Week 1 Ranking: 2

Week 1 Result: 45-7 win vs Marshall

The reigning SEC Champions are back in the top spot like they never left. Texas was the consensus No. 1 team in the SEC at the start of the season, but an ugly loss to Ohio State and a solid win by Georgia paves the way for UGA to take the top spot back.

The Bulldogs handled their business against Marshall at home 45-7. It's hard to get a good read at how good this Georgia team is until they play a real opponent, but Gunner Stockton looked the part under center and UGA's weapons outside looked much improved. Georgia’s defense also looked as good as ever before as well.

Georgia has a huge game against Tennessee looming in week three, but they get to beat up another cupcake before they have to focus on the Vols.

Week 2 Opponent: Austin Peay
