14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Week 1 Ranking: 14

Week 1 Result: 45-3 win vs Charleston Southern

Vanderbilt was one of the surprise teams in the SEC last season, but at the end of the day they are still Vanderbilt. Many of the Commordores wins last season were extremely close, so it's hard to count on them being a good team this year again when that was the case.

Vanderbilt however looked strong against Charleston Southern and quarterback Diego Pavia picked up where he left off last season. Pavia completed 80 percent of his passes for 275 and three touchdowns which shows he is just as good as last year.

But can Vanderbilt actually beat some good teams again this season? They will have their first chance this season on the road against a solid ACC program.

Week 2 Opponent: @ Virginia Tech
