Week 1 Result: 35-3 win vs Illinois State
There is a lot of hope surrounding the Oklahoma program that the 2024 season was a fluke. In case people forgot, season one in the SEC did not go as planned as they only won two conference games. But the Sooners brought in a lot of impact transfers out of the portal who so far have been very good through one game.
The Sooners have the talent on paper to beat any team in the SEC this season, but they first need to prove that they can put it all together and hang with the best teams in the country before they rise too high in any ranking. Thankfully they will get their chance this weekend when Michigan comes to town.
