7. Auburn Tigers

Week 2 Ranking: 8

Week 2 Result: 42-3 win vs Ball State

The Auburn Tigers are officially back. Well, maybe not totally back, but they are back in the AP Poll's top 25 for the first time since 2021. The Tigers made a lot of big moves in the Transfer Portal this offseason, and so far they are coming together quite nicely.

Auburn handled their business this week against a bad Ball State team, but they can't be faulted for going out and beating any team by 39 points. So combining that with the fact that they beat Baylor week one on the road and this team definitely deserved to be ranked in this week's AP Poll.

Auburn has another easy game this week at home before they open up SEC play at Oklahoma. So if Auburn can have another dominant win this week followed up with a win at Oklahoma, then this team is officially a contender in the SEC.

Week 3 Opponent: South Alabama
