Week 4 SEC Power Rankings: Blue Bloods surge while Gators season ends

SEC fans owe a Blue Blood an apology after a major shakeup in the SEC power rankings.

Week three in the SEC more than made up for the somewhat boring week of college football that took place the week prior. There were countless amazing games this week that saw the best programs in the conference cement themselves as the best teams in the SEC once again. On top of that, one of the teams receiving the most preseason hype saw their season come to a crashing end just three weeks into the year.

So before another big week of SEC football begins, here are the latest power rankings in the SEC heading into week four.

16. Kentucky Wildcats

Week 3 Ranking: 16

Week 3 Result: 48-23 win vs Eastern Michigan

There isn't much to say about Kentucky at this point in the season. They handled their business and got the win against Eastern Michigan, but giving up 23 points is not a good sign.

The Cats have a bye week which comes at a great time so they can regroup for the SEC gauntlet they will face this year. Thankfully their next game is against a South Carolina team that just got embarrassed by Vanderbilt, so maybe there is some hope they can get a win there.
