5. Texas Longhorns

Week 3 Ranking: 4

Week 3 Result: 27-10 win vs UTEP

Texas fans are still waiting for their team to even come close to the expectations set before them this offseason. The Longhorns right now don't even look like a top 10 team in the country, even though AP voters aren't willing to drop them after another disappointing performance.

The Texas defense continues to look strong, but the Longhorns offense might be really, really bad. And a big reason for that is because of the poor play from Arch Manning. to Manning's credit, he did run for two touchdowns on Saturday, but he only completed 11 of 25 passes for 114 yards, one touchdown and an interception. That is not going to cut it in the SEC.

Texas faces another easy opponent this week where they will try to get anything positive going on offense, but right now the Longhorns do not belong in the same conversation with the top four teams in this conference.

Week 4 Opponent: Sam Houston
