13. South Carolina Gamecocks

Week 3 Ranking: 5

Week 3 Result: 31-7 loss vs Vanderbilt

Saturday's game against Vanderbilt could not have gone any worse for South Carolina. The Gamecocks not only were embarrassed by losing to Vanderbilt of all teams 31-7, but they may have lost star quarterback LaNorris Sellers for a few weeks after he suffered a concussion.

While there are serious questions surrounding the Gamecocks offense now, their defense has even more issues to sort out because giving up 31 points at home is unacceptable. Sure a loss to Vanderbilt isn't as bad as it used to be because the Commodores look like a solid team for the second year in a row, but it's the manner that they lost this game that is very disappointing.

South Carolina heads to Missouri this week, and if Sellers is unable to play the Gamecocks may see their College Football Playoff hopes vanish right before their eyes.
