11. Vanderbilt Commodores

Week 3 Ranking: 14

Week 3 Result: 31-7 win @ South Carolina

Is Vanderbilt going to be a good team again this season? So far they have done everything they can to show they are a great team after destroying South Carolina on the road this week 31-7. Combine that with their 24 point win at Virginia Tech the week prior and it's easy to see why hope is sky high in Nashville right now.

Quarterback Diego Pavia had somewhat of a quiet game for his standards as he completed 18 of 25 passes for two touchdowns and an interception, but Vanderbilt clearly didn't need him to be a superstar as they still found a way to dominate the Gamecocks.

The Commorodres have two easy opponents up next which they more than deserve after winning two straight road games, but after that they will head to Alabama. Unless something crazy happens these next two weeks, Vanderbilt will be ranked when they play the Tide on Oct. 4. In fact, they will probably be a top 15 team by that point.

The Commodores beat Alabama last year and they most certainly can do it again this season. And if they do, Vandy will be 6-0, a top 10 team, and a true contender in the SEC. Now that would be a wild world to live in.

Week 4 Opponent: Georgia State
