Are you paying close attention? While it remains to be seen if he will even come to Athens, it is worth the shot if you are the Georgia Bulldogs. It is because top tackle prospects like Jordan Seaton do not grow on trees. Factor in Monroe Freeling turning pro, as well as Bo Hughley transferring to Colorado, it would make all the sense in the world for a team like Georgia to be in hot pursuit of this star tackle.
On3's Pete Nakos was all over Seaton planning to enter the transfer portal after two seasons at CU.

Seaton was as Five-Star Plus+ in the 2024 class.https://t.co/MvGJiwwtfH pic.twitter.com/D4juA1jU4b
According to 247Sports, Seaton is the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect currently in the transfer portal, as well as the No. 4 overall prospect in this cycle. The former IMG product was the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting class out of high school and the No. 13 overall prospect in that year as well. Georgia could effectively replace a second-round pick with a guy who could go in the first round.
While he was offered by Georgia out of high school, Seaton did not take one of his five visits to UGA...
Georgia would have to overcome Stacy Searels to land Jordan Seaton
This is the absolute worst part of it from a Georgia perspective. For as strong of a program as this has been under Kirby Smart for the last decade, not only are the Bulldogs behind in the NIL game, but word is starting to get out that maybe UGA does not have the best assistants... Mike Bobo and Glenn Schumann get a lot of flack, but offensive line coach Stacy Searels is not a distant third to those two.
Under Searels' watch, Georgia's offensive line has been fine. Unfortunately for him, Dawg Nation had gotten used to Matt Luke and Sam Pittman before that. Those guys were outstanding in the lead-up to their national championship runs and shortly thereafter. The downgrade in the coaching department in recent years is starting to get the best of Georgia. Smart has to land better coaches.
Ultimately, Georgia needs to at least put its best foot forward to try and procure Seaton's five-star commitment. Sadly, the Dawgs will probably come up empty-handed when it comes to Seaton. He may want to play for a national championship contender like Georgia, but money talks. Seaton picked Colorado out of high school for a reason. He can be impressed by things that are not about winning...
If Georgia does not land Seaton, Dawg Nation better hope he signs with a team outside of the SEC.
